Initially, I interpreted "Champion" to be a victor or someone who has finished in first place. But then I thought about a champion being someone who is also in the -process- of fighting for something, a cause. For every fight you need your companions and your muses, who keep you going, who you fight for.

Formally, I found many iconic representations of Champions to be oriented vertically, but this assignment called for a horizontal approach. So, here is our Champion, classically resting under the shade of an oak tree, with his companions, his muses, at his side. Each muse subtly represents a key ingredient in the "Champion" perfume. The lavender jaguar is a throwback to the era of shag rugs, plastic furniture and a blatant libido.
